1/30/2025 - WOW, I need to be more careful.

So, if you've been keeping up with PyNori's Twitter lately, you may already know that I recently got a 2011 MacBook Air for the purpose of testing PyNori on it. I recently just finished playing it on MacOS, and... wow, while it was fun, I noticed a LOT of issues in my pacifist playthrough.

Firstly, the name of "she-who-resides-at-the-21st-step" is spoiled too early on accident. Sorry to those who saw that. I hope nobody did, but the game's been out more than long enough for someone to notice. This has been in the game for as long as I can remember, too, so me only noticing this now makes this all the more embarrassing.

Secondly, there was an issue with Bayet's post-interaction text. I somehow accidentally switched out Bayet's name with the {name} variable, which is meant to address the PLAYER, so when it's supposed to say something like "Bayet agrees with you", it says either "You" or the name of the character you're playing as instead, which makes for a pretty weird grammatical error if it's Pinori: "You agrees with you."

"You agrees with you"??? Jesus... yeah, of course I agree with me, but can I agree with myself with proper grammar?

Thirdly, unfortunately, another grammatical issue. I forgot to take they/them pronouns into account when dynamically handling the spelling in the cutscene that plays after clearing Dyarix. I really need to be more careful when doing this shit.

As of writing this, I've fixed all of these issues, but they won't be fixed for YOU until v1.2.0 releases, which... will be a while. I'm currently testing the new EXP system, so that'll take a hot second. Until then, you're stuck with these issues, and that really pains me to say. So, let's hope v1.2.0 doesn't take long to release! I am done with high school though, so I'm basically on a permanent summer break until I start looking for a full-time job, and I can't right now because I'm recovering from a sickness, so I have all the time I need at the moment. With that said, back I go to working hard on this update!
