1/17/2025 - PyNori v1.0.2

Hey all, Shirley here, back with another PyNori update.

Even though the numbering suggests this is a bugfix update (which was the main idea), this update does actually do more than fix bugs.

Now, in terms of news, I'm going to list the bugfixes first:

1: Again, not that anyone has gotten to this point yet, I highly doubt it, but crashes related to "ShownLowHPWarning" in the final battle should no longer occur. Keyword SHOULD.
2: Certain if/else statements have been turned into 1-liners. Surely there are some I missed, but I'll get to them later if so.
3: A certain enemy mechanic should now be working as intended. I won't tell you whose, so play the game and find out, lol.
4: Fixed a VERY bizarre error in the spare logic that triggered the Clef spare text when sparing a certain 2 enemies. Again, won't tell you who.
5: "[character] will wake up in [x] turns." should no longer decrement twice. It looks fine in debug mode, but when it's off it looks like it's skipping numbers, and that's because, well, it was. It shouldn't anymore without step mode, or at all preferably.

Now for the changes this update was NOT focusing on:

1: The game now checks for updates if you're connected to the internet! All of this IS handled manually (I manually update the version number before releasing an update), but don't worry, I won't forget the first step, I promise. Please tell me this isn't foreshadowing.
2: Menus that have a 6th option (that previously didn't) now include the number 6 when telling the user to select a number within that range, should the user's input be outside of it for whatever reason.
3: Waking up from sleep no longer plays the Try/Except Failure (TEF) sound.
4: The Pinori: Text Adventure Edition lines (from the title screen) now have "=" on both sides instead of just the right. This was also the case before the game came out, so I really do NOT know how the hell I accidentally removed them briefly. But yeah, they're back!

2 issues that are STILL PRESENT that I would like to note before ending off this devlog are that, 1, the Lucky Charm sometimes does NOT work depending on the result you get, which is being worked on, and 2, the "hit rank" system sometimes gets stuck and goes off when it shouldn't. This is only really used in the final battle, but I plan on implementing it to the main battle system in the future.
